Joy Larsen, RMT’s (she/her) love of travel to developing countries was the catalyst for beginning her career in massage therapy. Working with street people in Kolkata, India Joy quickly learned that touch is the universal language and her experiences in India, Pakistan, Kenya and Uganda working with people living with leprosy and AIDS made a profound impact on her life. Returning to Vancouver, she enrolled in the 3000 hour massage therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, BC, graduating in 2004.
